Job Title: Systems Administrator
Location: Pretoria

Purpose statement:
To implement and manage systems,structures and processes which support the business operationally in achieving the desired business objectives.

Job objective
a) Primary objective:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical support for the SharePoint and Office 365 applications environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities. The systems administrator must apply their technical knowledge to ensure effective data structures and integrity is adopted as well as implementations of systems based processes which support and facilitate operational processes as defined by business.

- Stakeholder engagement on the capabilities of systems
- Interact with clients, staff and stakeholders
- Engage with business to identify work processes and data storage requirements
- Regular feedback and reporting to various stakeholders on findings and progress
- Provide guidance and support to IT professionals and other staff within the organization
- Training and support for users how to use systems and empowering users to perform some key functions themselves

- Direct and organize systems related projects
- Establish procedures for systems change management
- Ensure adherence to agreed procedures by all stakeholders
- Document all systems engagement sessions and functional design specifications in the prescribed format
- Provide, update or revoke user access based on the prescribed user access procedure

- Identify and document key business processes suitable for automation
- Make presentations on process automation recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Establish documentation standards and processes
- Implement and maintain operational processes or workflows

- Identify suitable systems and structures to achieve desired business outcomes
- Assess and make recommendations regarding potential system synergies and integrations
- Oversee and provide recommendations regarding data structures and processes
- Identify, design and customize systems to improve business efficiency and to align with business strategy
- Identify changes or advancements in technology with potential to add value to the business or further facilitate efficiencies
- Full working knowledge of SharePoint 2013 or later and Microsoft Office 365 online SharePoint

Job Evaluation Criteria
Formal Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related area
Microsoft Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft IT Professional Certification (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or other MS Certifications are preferred

2 – 4 Year’s Experience
Previous working experience with SharePoint Required
