Our client requires the service of a SHE Manager who be responsible for implementing, managing, facilitating and maintaining the risk, Safety, Health, Environmental programs and
systems so that a potential risk free environment can be established in line with legislation and Company policies and procedures. The SHE Manager will also ensure that the required legislative training is planned, monitored and implemented.

Key performance areas:

? Implement and manage the entire safety programme and systems so that incidents, accidents, injuries and damage to Company assets can be prevented
? Implementation and maintenance of the safety programme is effectively planned
? Establish annual safety plan and manage progress accordingly and ensure corrective action is implemented when required
? Ensure risk assessments and audits are conducted at required intervals
? All accidents and incidents are thoroughly investigated and causes determined so as to prevent a recurrence
? Ensure all legislative training is done and in line with requirements
? Manage and pro-actively improve Business Contingency Management requirements in line with shareholders and insurers
? Maintain business contingency processes
? Co-ordinate and manage the fire prevention programme so that safety of people and Company assets is maximized
? Manage and pro-actively improve the security system so that potential losses of product, related assets and security risks can be reduced
? Assessment of the security and risk audit is conducted on an annual basis
? Compile and analyze reports/SHE/security statistics
? Ensure effective management (continuous improvement & most cost effective) and the administration of security and other contracts
? Budgets are strictly planned according to requirements and are continuously monitored
? Environmental management by identifying applicable impacted areas and ensure compliance through ongoing management.
? Ensure Environmental management team is established to prepare and comply to audits

The successful candidate must have:

? Must have Matric with a NOSA SAMTRAC qualification
? NQF Level 5/6 - National Diploma / Degree in Occupational or Environmental Management
? Registration with SAIOH would be advantageous
? Excellent computer literacy (MS Word & Excel, Kronos)
? Knowledge of SAP will be an advantageous
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in a SHE environment within a FMCG Industry
? Excellent knowledge of Risk management principles
? Excellent knowledge of SHE/Security policies, legislation and procedures
