A well-known Construction company operating throughout South Africa involved in Surface mining, drilling solutions, bulk earthworks, infrastructure development and plant hire is looking a suitably qualified Site Agent - Bulk Earthworks and Lateral support for a large Basement type contract. (This initially a 6 month contract with a possibility of it leading to permanent employment) NB Must have bulk earthworks and lateral support experience.

Description:

Assumes responsibility for the site Management and integration of all physical construction activities on for a Bulk Earthworks and Lateral support site (Basement Construction).

Skills, Experience & Education:

BSC, BTech, HND or ND in Civil Engineering
Min 10 years of experience in the Bulk Earthworks industry including Lateral Support , out of which the last 3-5 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large construction Company (CIDB 8 or 9).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to Foremen.
Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site
