A Construction company operating in the SADC Region is looking for suitably qualified Site Agent - Roads and Bridge for Botswana with a sound knowledge of Roads and Associated Structures i.e. Bridges. Ideally you would be a citizen of Botswana or a permanent resident as work permits are hard to come by during these uncertain times.

Description:

Assumes responsibility for the Contracts Management and integration of all physical construction activities on site.

Skills, Experience & Education:

BSc/BEng Civil Engineering (For work permits)
10 - 15 years of experience in the Roads & earthworks industry particularly in Highway/National roads, out of which the last 6-8 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large Roads & Earthworks construction Company, surfacing would be an added bonus.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

To construct and deliver the allocated section of work within a specified timeframe with allocated resources.
Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to Foremen.
Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site
