Site Agent Roads and Bulk Earthworks - Ermelo
A well-known Construction company operating throughout South Africa involved in Surface mining, drilling solutions, bulk earthworks, infrastructure development and plant hire is looking a suitably qualified and experienced Site Agent - Roads & Bulk Earthworks for initially a 12 month contract in Mpumalanga.
Must know CCS and be able to start immediately.
Description:
• Assumes responsibility for the production and integration of all physical construction activities on for a Roads, Bulk Earthworks, Surface
Mining & Infrastructure Development
Skills, Experience & Education:
• BSC, BTech, HND or ND in Civil Engineering
• Min 10 years of experience in the Bulk Earthworks/Surface mining/Infrastructure Development industry including Lateral Support , out of which the last 3-5 years should have functioned in the similar capacity of a medium/ large construction Company (CIDB 8 or 9).
Must have CCS
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
• Contracts Management
• Client liaison.
• Report writing.
• Problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills
• Scheduling and Programming of work is a must
• Ability to manage quality of Construction on site
• Ability to deal with and manage Subcontractors
• Extensive Technical Knowledge of Civil and building construction
• Ability to manage cost on the site
• Payment Certificates.
• Ability to complete projects in time.
• Read, understand and explain drawing specifications to Foremen.
• Ensure safety compliances to and promote safe working practices.
• Monitor construction activity on site to prescribed quality standards.
• Monitor production and make daily progress reports for submission to Line Management.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve them and streamline the construction process on site.
• Integrate various resource requirements of production teams on site.
• Monitor, control and improve production and productivity levels on site.
• Conduct production planning and integration meetings on site
