Senior SharePoint Developer, with a relevant Bachelor’s degree, needed for a contract role in Cape Town. 5+ Years’ experience in SharePoint application and Visual Studio development, PowerShell Scripting, Solution Design and knowledge of SOA. Knows your way around SharePoint Central Admin and SharePoint portal.

Job Role:
• Participate in all phases of the software application development life cycle with an emphasis on solution design, development and configuration of internal and external web or mobile software solution utilising SharePoint, C#, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, HTML5, SQL Server, Microsoft .NET Framework and ASP.NET MVC
• Developing WSP packages in Visual Studio and deploying them into SharePoint
• SharePoint Visual Web Part development experience using SharePoint server-side object model

Key Requirements:

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 5 years IT experience, preferably in SharePoint applications development
• Able to develop software solutions in a TFS environment using technologies such as Visual Studio, Workflow Foundation, SharePoint, C#, .Net, SQL, SQL Reporting Services
• Developing SharePoint visual web parts, event receivers, timer jobs, features and solution deployment packages
• Developing against the SharePoint server-side object model and client-side object model
• Developing custom SharePoint solutions in Visual Studio, deploying them to SharePoint and debugging them
• Configuring SharePoint service applications: search, managed metadata, user profile service
• Managing Application development projects through the Systems Development Lifecycle
• In-depth experience in solution design and knowledge of SOA
• Knowledge of SharePoint server-side object model development best practices
• SharePoint PowerShell scripting knowledge
• Knows their way around SharePoint Central Admin and SharePoint portal
