About the company and Role:

The vision of our client is to improve the financial confidence of South Africans. As a senior UI designer, you will be responsible for shaping, maintaining, and constantly improving the visual direction of the app.

We are looking for a talented UI designer to design unique and effective user interfaces. The ideal person has experience working in agile teams, with developers, UX designers, and copywriters.

As a UI designer, you need to be able to make deliberate design decisions and translate any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interface.

Your design skills:

You can create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
You need to be able to present and defend your design decisions. All your decisions should be based on the product roadmap, research, design principles, and best practices.
You will be responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining our design system.
You will be responsible for maintaining the overall consistency across the whole visual communication of the product.
You will be responsible for building storyboards to conceptualized designs, flows, or videos.
You are a problem solver that is able to optimize the user interface to solve the users' needs.
You are able to translate user insights into delightful experiences.
You are able to translate complex problems and solutions into simple and intuitive interfaces

Experience and Qualifications:

3-4+ years’ experience
A solid portfolio with UI designs across web & mobile
Proficient knowledge and experience using industry tools such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Zeplin, freepik, flaticon, unsplash, Figma amongst others.
Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences.
Relevant Degree or Diploma required.
