Job Description

Design and project manage projects to meet socioeconomic development objectives and targets.
Quantitative and qualitative research and analysis, on socioeconomic and economic trends
Stakeholder engagement with Public and private sector
Manage focus groups, conduct interviews and meetings.
Responsible for the design, development, management, and delivery of distinctive client project outputs, sometimes on a concurrent or overlapping basis
Manage the workflow and contributions of project teams, as well as external consultants as needed
Leverage personal and public knowledge of socioeconomic development sector and practices for the benefit of clients. Core topical areas might include: local economic development; ‘Shared Value’
Contribute to the continued establishment of the Development Advisory and Impact division in the marketplace, including contributing to the implementation of the team’s strategy and development of new clients
Contribute to the development, standardization, and implementation of internal operational protocols, including those around project management, knowledge management, and service delivery
Develop socioeconomic proposals
Lead knowledge-sharing and thought-leadership initiatives, both internally and externally; conceptualize and implement market-shaping research initiatives
Oversee internal administration and manage compliance with internal administrative protocols

Minimum Requirements

A degree within the fields of Engineering/Construction
A Masters in Economics and/ Development Finance, Science; MBA, Social Science required
A min of 5 years applicable professional experience in management consulting; experience in socioeconomic development sectors is preferable
Relevant economic and development climate knowledge (Africa)
Understanding and experience of community social dynamics & local government dynamics.
Understanding of legislative environment for community engagement and development.
Dynamic personality with experience in presenting to large groups and executive-level audiences
Track record in developing socioeconomic related proposals
Experience in working with government and traditional communities preferred
Strong Project Management capabilities
Valid driver’s license
