Who we are looking for

If you’re wild about social media, and love to connect with small business owners through creative content and innovative methods – we want you!

We’re growing our Marketing team to support the venture and help to delight our customers during our current (nuts) growth phase.

We need you to bring your outstanding communication skills, creative brain, and ability to execute ideas with attention to detail and join our team to build, inspire and encourage our audience of entrepreneurs throughout South Africa. A paid internship for a 4 month period is available.

What you will be doing on a day-to-day basis

Day to day upkeep of Yoco’s social media pages, from responding to and assigning conversations to creating, sourcing and posting content.
Respond to questions and conversations on Yoco’s social media pages.
Assign relevant social media queries to sales and support teams through Social Studio.
Assist with building out monthly social media calendars.
Assist with on the ground social media support at events.
Collaborate with StudiYo and Marketing teams to create content for Yoco’s social media pages.
Post approved content on various Yoco social media platforms at a consistently high level, daily.
Stay up to date with social media trends and trending conversations in order to identify potential opportunities.
Keep on the pulse of what’s happening at Yoco, from team events to product updates, in order to identify potential social media opportunities.
Collaborate with marketing team and support their needs.
Initiate and invest time in regular research sessions to continuously improve and develop all social media posts in line with current trends.

What you need to be flippen good at
Exceptional listening skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Great English spelling and grammar (additional languages a bonus).
Deep understanding of and passion for social media platforms, formats, best practices and trends (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube).
Experience in or exposure to communicating as a brand, within brand guidelines.
A love for small businesses and entrepreneurship.
Serious attention to detail.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable interacting with various internal teams and external service providers.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
Able to get to the Cape Town CBD on a daily basis for the full 4 month period of the internship
