IT Software Development Project Manager
WILL WORK REMOTELY/ FROM HOME (Nationally or Internationally)
Permanent position
Matric Certificate/ Grade 12.
IT Software Degree or Diploma or relevant Qualification in IT Software or Other.
Project Management certificate or qualification.
Must have Minimum of 3-5+ Years External Client faced as an IT Software Development External Client Project Manager.
Experience in a IT Software Development Environment within the Life Insurance or Group Life Insurance Industries or other financial services Industries OR Healthcare Industries OR in the Actuarial Industries OR any Other Industries
Must have very good IT Software Development (SDLC) working experience gained.
Agile experience
Be prepared to personally travel to go and see the External Clients at their own premises and speaking to the Client at Executive level Face to Face at the Clients premises only when needed otherwise it will be mostly remotely
Primary ongoing role is Management of IT Software Development projects.
Lead planning and or implementation of IT Software Projects.
Spends majority of time on Project Management responsibilities.
Manage Project budget and resource allocation.
Continuously improve IT Software systems Project management toolkits and methodologies used.
Managing the External Client relationship, expectations and driving the agreed deliverables.
Manage the Project plan according to agreed External client project targets regarding this vacancy.
Focuses on meeting project commitments, including communications with sponsors, stakeholders, etc.
Provide regular and transparent feedback on project progress to stakeholders.
Manage changed events affecting project timelines and targets.
Handle all communication between the external Client and the Company.
Leads the Software development team, design, testing, planning, and implementation of complex IT Software Development projects for systems that typically affect many users.
May participate in the design and/or the software testing phases.
Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas;
Facilitate the definition of service levels and customer requirements.
Interact regularly with existing or potential clients to determine their needs and to develop plans for improving delivery.
Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes.
Cultivate contacts with vendor requirement planners or developers — to obtain information about future vendor developments in the functional area and to try to influence those developments in ways favourable to the company.
Follow a defined, agreed upon project management plan.
Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the department.
Establish liaisons with universities and other comparable vendor users to keep abreast of status of computing and communications activities at these institutions.
Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies used.
Provide expertise and consulting to project managers in the process of project management and in the softer skills of team dynamics, team building and group motivation.
Salary Package from R 60 000 to R 70 000 Gross per month depending on current Salary and experience, Qualifications and skills gained
