Our client requires the services of a skilled and passionate Software Engineer.


Key performance areas:

? Assist software engineering development team members with technical learning and development within a machine vision and machine learning environment.
? Develop and maintain products within the digital Smart Sensor and Video Analytics Teams.
? Assist with all aspects of product software development such as:
o Designing
o Implementation
o DevOps
o Testing
? Take ownership by understanding product requirements and ensure expected team deliverables are met
? Understand company products and how they operate on site
? Ensure functionality of company products and aid support team where needed to deliver effective services
? Use geographical User Interfaces to improve current products
? Correct system bugs/errors on existing systems
? Implement systems enhancements to meet business needs
? Develop software within the prescribes company technologies and environments, and comply with software engineering best practices
? Perform technical investigations as and when needed
? Pattern recognition and classifiers
? Knowledge and application of Database technologies
? System architecture and design
? Ability to interface with hardware like cameras, lasers, microcontrollers etc.

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a MEng/MSc Eng Degree
? 5 Years’ experience in software development
? Demonstrate results designing, building, and operating high performance distributed systems in large-scale Linux environments
? Technical leadership experience with increasing scope of responsibility, and demonstrate ability to guide a technology roadmap
? Ability to work effectively across teams to deliver results, with strong verbal and written communication skills
? Role model in writing high-quality, maintainable, and secure code
? Deadline orientated
? Strong Python skills and knowledge of JavaScript and C++ will be advantageous
? Knowledge and experience in:
o Agile software
o DevOps
o Git
o Azure Cloud and Cloud deployment
o Digital imaging, Signal Processing and Machine Learning
