Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Qualification related to sound/audio or related field is highly recommended and an advantage
• Proven experience as a sound/audio technician
• Great passion for music and audio equipment
• Technical expertise in sound techniques
• Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (SSL highly recommended and a major advantage)
• Working knowledge of recording software and hardware
• Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to deal with various personalities which would internal local and international musicians and recording artist etc.
• Creativity and attention to detail
• Excellent hearing and manual dexterity
• Problem solving abilities

Duties Overview:
• Responsible for setting up sound and recording equipment. Make adjustments and testing equipment
• Assist with recordings or sound productions
• Prepare sound equipment
• Setting up sound boards, microphones, amplifiers, audio lines, monitors and speakers etc.
• Testing of equipment
• Operate equipment
• Repair and maintain faulty equipment – this is an essential requirement for the post
• Technical knowledge is essential
• Constructing cables, repairs and maintenance of consoles, controllers, processors, microphones etc.
• Excellent hearing and an eye for detail
