Sous Chef - Food Manufacturing Faciltiy - Woodstock
Pick Me Recruitment is looking for an Experienced and Qualified Sous Chef at a factory premises in Woodstock.
The perfect candidate is someone with exceptional culinary skills, experience in producing large scale food production or similar, Chef school graduate / Diploma, must have understanding of HACCP, FSA or FSC standards, have strong operational and communication skills, is resourceful, creative and flexible.
Minimum Requirements
• 5-6 Years plus experience in hotel kitchens or volume catering or large-scale food factory production
• Chef school graduate / Diploma (Other qualifications welcome ie. Food Tech)
• Must understand HACCP, FSA or FSC standards and have work in a facility with either of the mentioned certification
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
• Excellent control of food cost, wastage and kitchen preparation
Key Duties
• Assists in quality improvement of existing menu items
• Implements raw material and product quality standards
• Develops production and manufacturing procedures
• Delegate production requirements to preparation and production staff
• Assists with overall quality, production and presentation of all recipes
• Second in charge and reports to Head Chef
Remuneration: R13 500 Gross
