Spares Co-Coordinator - Artisan

Large blue chip Company based in Sasolburg has a permanent position available for a qualified artisan with spares experience

Qualifications and expertise required (Must)

• Matric / Grade 12.
• N4 Technical qualification with Trade test.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar maintenance role.
• Manage all Maintenance spares and coordinate repairs to equipment.
• Proving planning & fault-finding ability.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy level.
• Must be prepared to work overtime and standby duties with own transport as and when required.
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and own vehicle for supplier visits.
• Must be computer literate.

Requirements
• Obtain spares for a large variety or repairable equipment as per maintenance needs. This will include mainly stock-items or non-stock items.
• Check for correctness of delivered materials. If needed liaise with the procurement department for expediting requirements.
• Responsible for the repair cycle of all reparable items, mechanical and electrical using SAP PM.
• Responsible for the technical specification and stock levels of strategic spares for repairable items maintaining SAP MM data.
• Monitor and control the exit, repair and return of all items from site maintaining SAP PM data.
• Technically evaluate repair and set up repair procedure or scope of work in consultation with SME.
• Route item to suitable repairer internal or external.
• Control the quality of the repair process.
• Expedite repair process.
• On return perform necessary inspections and return items to store.
• Initiate repair contracts for regularly repaired items.
• Respond to urgent repair and spare requests.
• Technically review quotations/tenders for repair/replacement of equipment.
• Initiate RCA on major failures.
• Perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Be the custodian of commodity (engineering spares) master data.
