Our client is a manufacturer in the security barrier space, they are the best in their field with an International footprint. It is imperative that they have a sales/specifications consultant who has experience visiting and liaising with architects, interior designers and developers.

The main purpose of this vacancy is to manage the day-to-day sales of the Project channel of the branch to ensure achievement of the annual sales budget. Must implement the company sales strategy to achieve the budgeted sales target for the Project channel, whilst monitoring customer service levels.

Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to:
Sales Management
• Execute Project Channel Sales Strategy
• Develop and identify new relationships and nurture existing relationships with Project Channel (maintain an updated Project Database)
• Attend Project Industry events, networking meetings and present at various industry gatherings where applicable.
• Drive Innovation brands in to the Project Channel to maintain Taylor and NMC are top of mind in this Channel
• Offer the required sales tools needed for the Project Channel to either buy (professionals) or sell (interior architects and designers) the Innovation products
• Monitoring and reporting on monthly progress of actual sales per the Project channel, to budget and forecast;
• Assist with the performance of competitor analysis to determine market trends, pricing and service offered by competitors, as well as new competitors entering, and those exiting the market;
• Manage the implementation of price increases during the year with Project customers;
• Monitoring of actual monthly margins of product vs budget and forecast;
• Managing of the granting of discounts to Project customers in line with the company policies and procedures;
• Responsible for the creation of credit notes to customers, for approval by the Branch Sales Manager;
• For quotations generated but not accepted by the Project customer, perform periodic follow ups with the Project customer to see if a sale can be made.
• Create relationships with key strategic professional bodies from a networking perspective
• When required help the Road sales department with customer visits and quotations
• When required help with Syspro daily functions

Measurements for quotations
• Ensure that measurements are done accurately onsite at the customers premises and that notes are made of any installation instructions required;
• Ensure that quotations are provided timeously to Direct customers, which are accurate, timelines can be met for production and installation and which adhere to the company quotation policies and procedures;
• Where possible, whilst measuring the Direct customers premises, identify further potentials sales to the customer;

Reporting
• Provide daily/weekly/monthly feedback to the Branch Sales Manager on actual sales for the Project channel against budget and forecast;

Qualifications & Experience
• At least 5 years relevant experience as a sales representative in a related retail sector;
