Purpose
The Stock / Inventory Auditor will be responsible to record and maintain accurate counts of all merchandise in the showroom/s and/or warehouses, establishing all or any discrepancies which must be investigated.

Qualifications & Experience
Matric
Degree / Diploma in Auditing
Minimum 3 years’ experience with auditing stock in large warehouses
Strong financial proficiency
Advance user in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)

Key Responsibilities
Develop system of cyclical counting, system to floor and floor to system
Identify, highlight and report any weaknesses, risk areas and escalate for resolution
Monthly summary, completeness and signoff control to be implemented
File closing monitoring, balance investigation and regular reporting
Stock adjustments, transfers, invoicing & GRV’s
All transactions and movements to be reconciled to system
Identify and thoroughly investigate reporting discrepancies, and determine the appropriate course of action. (Resolution suggestion or higher level escalation).
Any cause of adjustments to be investigated and any risk highlighted with a solution
Check that slow moving, damaged and obsolete inventories are segregated
Check final summary of stocks prepared from the stock count sheets
Ability to communicate on all levels of management and staff
Report all details to the Financial Manager
Audit trail testing on all stated warehouse systems and control sheets
All stock movements in, out and between warehouses accurately recorded on computer system with the relevant documentation and sign off
Any other reasonable and lawful instruction that is required from time to time
