Job Overview

The Stock Supervisor/Controller’s responsibility is to manage the stock-related and other employees who maintain supplies and products inventories within the warehouse. They will be expected to perform daily checks on all stock areas within the warehouse, and manage all stock related issues/queries. Ensuring that financial objectives are met and that all aspects are running smoothly at all times. To be responsible for and answer to any stock related issues.

Helping to resolve any stock related issues
Improving stock processes and management within the warehouse

Typical Activities

Regular stock take
Controlling access into the storage areas
Ensuring the stock area is neat and well organized
Record keeping
Reporting on predicted versus actual quantities and being held accountable for any stock discrepancies
Reporting into Operations and Finance
Planning and optimising space utilization
General inspections of quality (expiry dates, product details, product quality)
Identifying slow-moving, non-usable or excess stock
Investigating, reporting and providing reasons for short/ missing stock
Responsible for short/missing stock

Requirements

Tertiary qualification
Over 2 years experience
Experience in a food handling/food production environment would be an advantage.
