JOB PURPOSE:
Stock/spares control. Purchased goods receiving. Received Goods Verification on SAP. Purchasing and liaising. General duties related to position.

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE:
• Receive materials from suppliers and process deliveries, GRV received components
• Prepare vendor payment EFT requests
• Assist with the buying function
• Issue spares materials as requested by projects/ maintenance personnel
• Issue lifting equipment as requested by maintenance personnel.
• Lifting equipment pre-use inspection
• Liaison with suppliers
• Issue new/replacement PPE as requested
• Maintain correct levels of all spares and PPE
• Manage diesel levels in storage tanks
• Perform stores standby duties
• Assist in procuring of any breakdown component after hours
• Attend meetings
• Perform any other legitimate activity as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications – Grade 12 or Technical qualification (e.g. N3). Diploma/ Certificate in purchasing and supply/ stores management.
Experience – Three years’ experience as a store man or stores clerk in a technical environment.
Skills – Excellent negotiating skills. Computer literacy.
Knowledge –Knowledge of SAP
