Provider of various economic commodities requires the expertise of a seasoned, business minded Sales Manager to join this growing concern.

You will be required to provide strategic input to the business/ senior management team.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the strategic development and implementation of successful business development strategies on a national and regional basis
Responsible for leading and directing business development initiatives targeting South African Government departments at all levels (National, Provincial and Local); including government agencies and SOE’s as well as with key entities within the private sector
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the establishment of a Business Development function for the organisation
Identify potential clients and set approach strategies
Develop and deliver targeted presentations to Senior Level Management as well as their teams
Management and coordination of all tender proposal submissions
Responsible for the preparation, submission and reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual actual and forecast sales figures to senior management
Responsible for the accurate drafting and submission of all RFQ/ RFI/ RFP/ tender/ Bid documents
Play a strategic role in the obtainment of revenue targets by constantly exploring new opportunities and markets whilst servicing and networking with existing clients

Requirements:
Relevant business degree preferred
10 + years’ experience specific to tender/ bid and RFQ/RFI/ RFP processes and strategic sales
5 + years Management experience
3 + years’ experience in having concluded business with SOE/ Government entities
Hands on approach to the business development process
