Structural Technologist (Mining, Oil and gas)
A Consulting Engineering client with over 20 years’ experience that specialises within multi-disciplinary Engineering Services is seeking to employ a Structural technologist (Mining, Oil and gas) to be permanently based in their Mpumalanga offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating expansion of several operations simultaneously. The candidate should be registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
Must have a B Tech Degree in Civil (Structural) Engineering.
Must have 5 - 10 years ‘experience working in Industrial plants and/or mining industries within a consulting firm.
Must have minimum 5 years’ experience post obtaining their qualification
Must have experience working in a consulting firm on mining, oil and gas projects
Must have structures experience including designs, contracts administration, client liaison and technical project knowledge within Industrial plants and surface mining infrastructure
Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Technologist
Must have great knowledge in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Must have experience in producing drawings in CAD- detailed design including construction drawings preparation
Must have experience in Technical aspects of contractor appointment and management
Must be able to provide technical support to the construction team
