Our client, a leading international Mining Group is looking for an experienced and qualified Project Planner Superintendent at their regional office in Libanon near Westonaria.

Summary:

The role of a Superintendent Project Planner is to ensure all policies and procedures are enforced and aligned within the group, report and recommend information to management that contributes to effective decision making.

The appointee should:

Hold a relevant BCom or equivalent
Have at least 3 years’ experience in a financial and project management environment
Have good communication skills
Have extensive knowledge of SAP R3 and BW
Be proficient in Microsoft Office
Possess an understanding of the mining environment, SOX legislation and accounting practices
Display excellent communication skills in English both written and oral as well as the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures
Have the ability to work under pressure, meet deadline’s and take initiative
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at a relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Centre

Key responsibilities include:

Ensure all policies and procedures are enforced and aligned within the group
Report and recommend information to management that contributes to effective decision making
Detailed analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual performance and budget
Review and consolidation of annual business plans for gold operations
Ensure SOX compliance within project systems
Ensure Authorisations for expenditure are complete and accurate
Compile and verify accuracy of forecasted expenditure
Group reporting for consolidation purposes
Ensure projects are managed and completed timorously
Co-ordinate and manage projects team to ensure work completed at required standard
Ad hoc requests from management on capital projects and queries
Liaise with auditors when required
