Our Client, one of the leading companies in the FMCG industry is currently looking for a Supply Chain Intern to support their office in Cape Town, South Africa.

This role is hands-on and will give you a great exposure, within 1 year, to how an international cosmetic and beauty brand manages the overall supply chain, demand planning strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.

Skills:
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field
• Experience in demand or supply planning advantageous
• FMCG industry experience advantageous
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills
• Excellent project management skills

Key responsibilities:
• Exposure to Distributor Business Model
• Implement effective commercial planning processes (demand/supply
• Support customer service function, ensuring sales/supply orders are received, processed and delivered on time according to customer requirement
• Make sure products sold are following local relevant regulation requirement, specifically in term of labelling, registration and other related activities
• Report and review of all relevant monthly logistics KPI
• Set up end to end supply chain to drive service reliability with business model change
• Manage and improve customer Service, Cost, and Cash to deliver division’s profit target Assist in completing monthly forecast and sales related data entry to allow accurate forecasting and supply planning
• Implement forecasting and supply planning process improvements Forecast future requirements for suppliers
• Monitor and track transportation shipments from inception to final delivery
