SUMMARY

A global entity that designs and develops technological solutions for metal processing is looking to employ a Supply Chain Manager to join their team

RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing the processes applicable to the supply chain of the South African subsidiary activities & equipment.
Liaise with the Global Supply Chain Office & other Procurement Departments.
Scout new suppliers globally & locally by Global guidelines and strategy.
Coordinate technical teams to qualify suppliers for the manufacturing of client products.
Manage supply risk.
Develop global manufacturing capability in low-cost countries for standard and non-standard products, bringing the most project-suitable & competitive array of worldwide offers.
Manage and update procedures relative to Procurement & Logistics & Travel to reduce costs and time and increase the quality of the outputs.
Drive clients’ global & local procurement policies and procedures, by ensuring all procurement activities comply with company procedures and principles and Code of Conduct.
Support projects in collaboration with legal entities with appropriate interfaces, providing information about suppliers, alternatives and commercial conditions to remain competitive.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Supply Chain Management and/or Technical Engineering degree/diploma
Active procurement & logistics management experience in an engineering environment
Contracts knowledge & experience
