Key responsibilities
1. Operational Management
• Implementing policies, planning, and strategy decisions as defined by the national systems strategy.
• Developing, implementing, and reviewing operational policies and procedures.
• Assisting and overseeing the planning and execution of short- and long-term departmental goals.
• Identifying and addressing problems and opportunities for the department
• Coordinating priorities for the staff in the department.
• Providing administrative support to the head of the department as needed.
• Coordinating and overseeing short- and long-term objectives of the department.

2. Project Management
• Ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Adapting project plans to changes in requirements and scope.
• Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
• Identifying and assessing project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
• Ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
• Maintaining a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
• Developing project strategies, maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets, and expenditures.

3. Reporting and Administration
• Assisting with feedback and reporting of departmental goals and objectives.
• Where applicable, assist in the performance management, and training and improvement programs execution for the department
• Organising, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
• Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
• Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: -
• At least 4 years of demonstrable experience in project management.
• At least 2 years of experience in systems rollout and implementation.
• Experience in administering SharePoint, MS Office 365, and ticket management tools would be an advantage.
• Ability to build consensus and relationships among teams, stakeholders, and peers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work on tight deadlines.
• Strong detailed-oriented approach to task execution.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Formal IT or relevant business qualification required
