Primary Purpose of the Job”
To provide a professional IT service to the enterprise in accordance to the group IT strategy, policies, procedures and operational targets via tactical execution and optimal use of IT resources & technology. Planning is an essential part of the position.

EXPERIENCE:
• Systems Administration – 5 years
• Knowledge of MS technologies (OS and Applications) , Exchange and AD.
• Advanced knowledge of server technologies
• Advanced knowledge of VMware technologies
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Wireless technologies
• Knowledge of Cisco Routing, Firewall , Switches , includes Wireless AP’s
• BRD and PID processers
• IT Flows and Schematics
• Business end to end processes


Job Knowledge and Skills

The following is essential:
Understanding of hypervisors such as VMware, Hyper-V,
Understanding of Windows Active Directory and Exchange in a medium to large environment.
Cisco Networking fundamentals.

• Implement, support and optimize the Server, Network and Desktop Infrastructure in accordance with the strategic IT objectives.
• Design, implement and control Information Systems & Security in line with the Group IS&T strategic plan
• Meet Server, Network and Systems uptime Targets.
• Perform tasks & duties set out in the operational guidelines for the department.
• Perform people management & skills development in accordance to the IT strategy and skills matrix

Deadline in the job
Deadlines are specific to the implementation of projects, Manco action items and service desk MTTR’s.
The IT Service Management performance management is based on Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and is a Key Performance Indicator for service delivery

EDUCATION
Min: Diploma / Higher Certificate IT
Ideal : National Diploma IT

TRAINING
Min: N+ or A+, any Microsoft/Cisco Training certificates
