Are you a Systems Infrastructure Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge? We have the perfect job opportunity for you! An international online gaming software company are looking you to join their team in Cape Town. You will ensure that the Company’s infrastructure is properly set-up, up to date, and well maintained for enhanced security, functionality and efficiency.

Your key job responsibility as the Systems Infrastructure Engineer in Cape Town will include:

- Create, install, configure and maintain all server hardware and software components, storage to meet functional specifications
- Manage and monitor server utilisation
- Manage, maintain and ensure adherence to group policy
- Regularly monitor operational alerts, coordinate and escalate other technical issues to relevant teams and/or vendors when applicable
- Monitor and perform health check to ensure optimum operation of equipment, systems, websites, servers, etc.
- Evaluate existing systems to determine effectiveness and select/suggest solutions that are compatible and shall meet organisational requirements
- Perform system back-ups, archive, disaster recovery, and restoration management as needed
- Provide onsite or remote technical support for end users’ concerns or escalated issues by Technical Support Engineer in a timely manner
- Provide technical guidance for the development and troubleshooting of systems

Requirements for this Systems Infrastructure Engineer job in Cape Town:

- Relevant qualifications
- Experienced in Active Directory, Windows Server Administration, Exchange Server, Database Set-up and Administration, SharePoint Server, and Windows Operating Systems and in project with Enterprise Active Directory and Linux Solution
- Working knowledge of architecture and typology of software, hardware, networks and telecommunication systems, their components, associated protocols and standards
- Working knowledge on computer network, desktop and mainframe operating systems and applications
- Working knowledge on tools and techniques used in data management such as data backup, data recovery, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal and data standardisation process
- Demonstrated ability on keeping data or information secured, including public key infrastructure, point-to-point encryption and smart cards
