Our client a leading retailer requires the service of a Systems Manager to ensure the operational effectiveness of the warehouse management system, IT infrastructure & IT equipment and to ensure that system processes are in place and that each user is equipped with the necessary system tools to enable them to perform their work.

Key Performance areas:

Operating results of delegated tasks accountable for:

? System administration
? System procedures
? IT infrastructure and computer equipment
? Warehouse management system

Management:

? Operational work planning, priority setting and scheduling
? Operational performance monitoring
? People and enabling capacity management
? Manage interfaces with Operations, staffing labour brokers and Buying
? Resolve escalated operational issues

Leadership:

? Staffing decisions up to supervisory level
? Developing others – focus on functional skills – identify needs and source solutions
? Individual performance management
? Motivated and discipline team
? Talent management / Succession planning

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a relevant Tertiary qualification in Systems / Logistics / Industrial Engineering
? Must have at least2 years’ experience in a Production or Warehousing environment
? Must have working knowledge of DC operating procedures and systems
? Excellent computer literate (ERP Systems / WMS System / SAP Retail / MS Office (Excel VBA knowledge is advantageous) / Google Suite / Google Data Studio)
? Access Control System & CCTV Systems experience will be advantageous
? Good written & verbal communication skills
? Excellent in planning, organizing and problem-solving abilities
