TAX COMPLIANCE OFFICER

Medium sized audit firm in Cape Town CBD is seeking a Tax Compliance Officer with 3 years working
experience and his/her duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

• Manage Client portfolio and liaise directly with Partner
• Completion of Client tax returns in respect of the following:

o IT12(individual) – Requesting information, calculating and completing of individual clients’ tax returns including tax computations and schedules, meet with client and Partner
o IT12EI (Exempt institutions)
o IT12TR (Trusts)
o IT14 (Companies and CC’s)
o IT14SD (Supplementary Declaration)

• Submission of supporting documents to SARS
• Calculation of IRP6 provisional tax returns in respect of the first, second and third periods. Payment letters sent to clients and
• Submission of provisional returns to SARS
• Completion of DWT returns in respect of DTW payable on dividends declared by companies including interest calculations
• Download, capturing and checking of assessments and preparation of letters
• Resolving queries from SARS and clients regarding all tax matters.
• Completion of IT144 returns in respect of donations made by clients
• Completion of application forms for registration in respect of Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Workman’s Compensation, Customs and Exporters
• Meeting and liaising with clients regarding tax matters when necessary
• Meeting with SARS tax practitioner’s unit to resolve client queries urgently
• Analysis of PAYE, IT and VAT accounts and preparation of reconciliation thereof Activate suspension codes on VAT and PAYE accounts
