Position: Technical Project Coordinator (Somerset-West)
Industry: Established company (water treatment)
Salary: R20-R25k p/m negotiable on experience
Type: Permanent position

Requirements
• N4 or S1 Technical qualification
• Work experience as Project manager in technical field will be highly beneficial
• Working knowledge of application of technical drawings (AutoCAD)
• Proficiency in English & Afrikaans
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong technical skills
• Experience in project management from conception to delivery
• Able to prepare & interpret flowcharts, schedules & action plans
• Sound organization & time-management skills
• Able to work under pressure & meet deadlines
• Strong client relationship and team work skills
• Must be familiar with risk management & quality assurance control

Duties

• Coordinate project management activities, resources & equipment
• Set up project plan & timeframes.
• Liaise with clients to identify project scope & objectives.
• Assign tasks to teams & assist with job schedules.
• Help prepare project budgets.
• Analyze risks & opportunities.
• Oversee project procurement.
• Monitor project progress & handle any issues that arise.
• Act as contact point & communicate project status to participants.
• Work with the Project Manager & Technical Foremen
• Monitor working hours, over-time, plans & expenditures.
• Issue legal paperwork (e.g., contracts & terms of agreement)
• Maintain project documents, plans & reports.
• Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure standards are met.
• Liaise with suppliers & clients to resolve technical & quality problems.
• Liaise with Purchasing, Production & Sales Departments
