Technical Training Specialist – Johannesburg Gauteng
Salary: Market Related

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Training Specialist for a permanent position based in Ekurhuleni, Johannesburg, Gauteng. The purpose of the role is to identify, create, deliver and facilitate training and capacity building interventions and manage the necessary activities and resources leading to an improvement in the skills and competencies of employees as required to meet the business strategy, inherent job requirements, service level standards as well as future requirements with regards career pathing and technological innovation. Salary from R35-45k per month, provident fund contribution. Reporting to the HR Executive.

Minimum Requirements:

? Grade 12; Certified Moderator and Assessor
? Relevant post matric qualification in related field
? Ability to travel within South Africa
? At least 8 years’ experience in Learning & Development with hands on experience in each of
the above-mentioned elements
? Proven track record in creating different types of training material and course contents
? BBBEE & Skills Development Act (SDF); ATR & WSP to TETA SETA
? Proven track record of Facilitation skills relating to both technical (product knowledge) and soft skills
? South African Citizen with a clear criminal record
? Ability to work extra-ordinary hours, like starting early or training in the Evenings or over weekends so as to ensure operational hours are not impacted

Skills And Knowledge:

? Certified Moderator and Assessor
? Fully au fait with MS Office suite, especially advanced PowerPoint functionalities
? Competent to deal with all training matters in a professional and appropriate manner
? Proven Ability to create computer software, electronic training aids, blended learning tools
? and techniques in the delivery of training
? Proven presentation and training skills
? Good planning and organising skills
? Self-driven
? Ability to work in highly pressurized area
? Very detail orientated
? Self-motivated
? Disciplined to create order in daily work

Duties:
HR KPI’s Deliverables

1. Identify Learning & Development Needs And Plan
• Identification of training needs, including the proposal of learning solutions (training plan) to meet the business strategy, technological requirements, service level standards and inherent job requirements
• Compile relevant plans and training strategies to ensure budget and transformational targets are met
• Maintain knowledge of changes, improvements and innovations concerning company systems, procedures and services
• Generate and update Skills Matrixes
• Compile operational training schedule or plan

2. Development Of Course Content
• Develop required course content as required by business including technical, product specific and soft skills course content
• Align content to NQF standards
• Apply technology like computer software, electronic training aids, blended learning tools and techniques in the delivery of training
• Design and build training aids to assist with the delivery of training

3. Coordinate And Present Training Sessions Nationally With Proper Assessments
• Oversee scheduling of training courses across the country with branches & depots
• Ensure transfer of skills and increase in knowledge and skills by presenting courses in different ways
• Plan, design and implement competency-based assessments to measure participant performance
• Conduct, analyse and prepare course evaluation reports
• Ensure assessment of all students on completion of course and corrective action plan where minimum standards are not achieved
• Follow up on employee’s performance when back in the workplace
• Intervene where employees are not progressing as expected or not showing application of learned knowledge and skills in the workplace

4. BBBEE & Skills Development Act Compliance
• Ensure training records are maintained
• Collaborate with SDF on provision of data and proactively devising appropriate strategies to ensure BBBEE Skills pillar targets are met
• Cooperate with SDF on provision of data for submission of annual ATR & WSP to TETA SETA
• Utilise special grants opportunities

5. Financial management
• Collaborate with SDF and HR Exec in compilation of annual training budget
• Review and first phase approval of relevant Training costs before submitting for further approval and payment
• Monitor Actual spend v Training Budget

6. Career Planning
• In conjunction with operations and HR system, use the annual performance review PDP data to identify training needs for the following financial year
• Liaise with relevant departmental managers on the viability of the PDP identified training opportunities
• Identify specific operational gaps with Operations relating to skills and knowledge which can be addressed via training
• Collaborate with Operations on potential training interventions and development of appropriate training material

7. Training Co-Ordination
• Implementation of appropriate training room with required equipment as allowed by budget
• Manage training room bookings and equipment
