RS Recruitment Services is assisting a bulk handling facility that imports and exports to recruit a TEMP FINANCE CONTROLLER (5-month contract) to be based at their offices at the DURBAN HARBOUR.

Our client is a specialist bulk handling facility that imports and exports a wide variety of products through the Durban harbour.

Applicants should be/have the following:
Financial degree or diploma
3-5 years as a Creditors controller / Finance Assistant / Financial controller in a similar industry
Experience with Accpac - essential
Computer literacy - Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Numeracy, Accounting & English literacy
Processing and controlling documentation
Able to investigate and resolve problems
Work under pressure at times in accordance work requirements
Maintain administration control systems and procedures
Experience in the shipping industry - an advantage
Experience working with multiple business entities as part of a group

Responsibilities:
Maintain existing creditors details on Accpac with supporting audit trail
Preparation of monthly creditors reconciliations, Attend to Creditors queries
Ensure the security and confidentiality of documents and records.
Processing of Bank Statements on Cash Book Accpac (Daily)
Reconciliation of Accpac to bank statements at month end
Processing of COD & Creditor payments
Prepare & Generate Monthly Creditors Batch, upload onto FNB and forward for authorisation
Processing of Invoices, Processing of Petty Cash on Accpac
Checking & processing of Casual labour invoices
Preparation of monthly General ledger recons
Preparation & input of various month end journals : casual labour/ accruals/ reversals/ provision/ salaries/ wages/ staff overtime, Stores Stock take, input & reports
Prepare insurance schedules and check invoices, Insurance recons
Preparation of payroll reconciliations
Reconciliation of Input VAT for IT14SD
Other ad hoc projects: Prepare capex forms, Receipting of invoices and delivery notes
Monitor Diesel usage for creditors, Email Creditor remittances

Remuneration:
R20 000 to R25 000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
