Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position at the Agriculture Division. The incumbent will be responsible for supervision of the Term Catching function and achieving set parameters of DOA’s and downtime to the factory, through adhering to the daily production program.

The ideal candidate will be in possession of a Grade 12 certificate and a valid, unendorsed, Code 10 driver’s license with PDP. A 1-year, proven track record in supervising a team is also required. This position reports to the Harvesting Manager.

Results Required:

• Implement daily production program and
manage any deviations;
• Drive abattoir harvesting downtime to zero
minutes per month;
• Achieve DOA’s < budget;
• Ensure catching of birds as per Term SOP;
• Maintain high standards of bird welfare at all
times;
• Comply with Acts related the Production and
Handling of Livestock;
• Achieve 90% compliance score on audits;
• Ensure all vehicles under your control are
maintained to the highest standards;
• Co-ordinate transfer of equipment between
farms;
• Meet legislated health and safety standards.
