• Conduct training needs analyses to identify and refine training needs based on individually identified learning / knowledge gaps
• Develop and maintaining training material / programs and content on a variety of topics for blended learning (classroom, video, eLearning and online learning and simulations)
• Develop and design assessment and evaluation tools especially online assessments
• Coordinate, administrate, facilitate, assess and evaluate results driven training interventions to benefit various and diverse employees and external parties (where required).
• Planning and administration related to all training needs and interventions including the maintenance of training records and relevant data
• Market the products and services associated with the company by coordinating and presenting to brokers, prospective brokers, corporate organisations and other stakeholders
• Provide support and guidance to learners as part of the business development process
• Impart organisational culture to delegates and act as an organisational ambassador
• Report, monitor and manage Return on Investment in learning
• Display industry knowledge and insight and impart this to delegates
• Administer online learning (ELearning, digital learning, simulations and gamification)
• Build and continuously improve business relationships with HGR customers
• Assist in the compilation of internal and external reports (including Workplace Skills Plan and Annual Training Report) as and when required
• Provide input into quarterly board reports
• Research and implement best practices in terms of training, evaluation and assessment
• Liaise with business/ line with regards to status of training initiatives
• Be a subject matter expert for the Systems, Customer Centricity and Product Schools
• Establish, implement and facilitate Systems training for new LOB system
• Guide and implement changes in the training process aligned with customer needs
• Ensure compliance with all relevant and related legislation.
• Remain abreast of the developments in the industry, competitor products and other relevant matters

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

• Grade 12
• Related tertiary degree or diploma
• Accredited train the trainer, moderator and assessor advantageous
• 5 years’ previous experience as a result-oriented Learning & Development / Trainer including evaluation and assessment of training interventions
• Previous sales experience advantageous
• Sound IT skills (especially MS Office)
• Knowledge of the Skills Development Act, TCF, FAIS requirements
• Sound presentation & facilitation skills
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
• Willing to travel (nationally) as and when required
• Storyboarding, Simulations and Gamification experience and knowledge will be an advantage
• Excellent administrative skills and abilities
• Experience training diverse groups
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Assertive, yet approachable
• Highly motivated and self-driven with the ability to motivate others
• Emotional maturity and stability, self-driven, flexible, ability to cope with pressure
