Looking for a transport broker, you will be the middle man between the client and transporter.
? To establish yourself within a team of brokers by increasing your own database of clients and transporters.
? You will have to look after the daily needs of your clients & transporters, ensuring you have loads in order to turn trucks around.
? You will need to have an existing client & transporter database to ensure you have loads available to service the transporters.
? Marketing and follow up on new clients & transporters.
? Communication with clients & transporters is essential.
Candidate Requirements
? Minimum of 3-7 year’s experience within the Transportation / Trucking industry.
? Qualification in Transport / Logistics will be an advantage.
? Valid driver's licence.
? Own reliable transport.
? Own database of clients & transporters are ESSENTIAL.
? Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
? Assertive and competitive with ability to negotiate at senior level.
? Strong negotiation skills with driven results.
? Good track record.
? Exceptional verbal and written skills.
? Computer literate.
? Must be able to multi-task and function in a fast paced environment.
? Excellent problem solving and time management.
? Highly motivated team player with a desire to learn.
? Quick-paced.
? Detail orientated.
? Manage accounts to retain existing relationships and build new ones.
? Strong negotiation skills to quote prices and services for clients and transporters.
? Prepare documentation route and dispatch.
? Research and Resolve issues as they relate to the shipments and customer accounts.
? Schedule daily collections and deliveries daily.
? Track and Trace shipments daily.
? Maintain confidentiality of company information.
