Responsibilities:
Enforce safety and housekeeping program on an on-going basis including housekeeping for the yard
Manage damage and theft
Manage approximately 90 staff members
Manage expenses/budget in the department (eg. Overtime, repairs, diesel, etc)
Manage the fines for all fleet vehicles
Manage, plan and do the sequencing of routes
Manage the administration duties for accidents that took place
Operate the Trackmatic system and draw reports from the system
Manage occupational health and safety
Manage and control of food safety management system
Take charge of the Department's human capital issues including engaging with trade unions, investigations, hearings and attend CCMA cases


Requirements:
Matric
Certificate/Diploma in Logistics/Transport Management
At least 3 years of experience within a Logistics/Transport environment
Capacity to manage people dynamics
High energy levels
High level of accuracy
