Responsibilities:
Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an on-going basis including housekeeping of the yard
Manage damage and theft
Manage approx. 90 staff members
Manage expenses/budget in the department. (E.g. Overtime, repairs, diesel, etc.)
Manage the fines of all fleet vehicles
Manage, plan and do sequencing of routes
Manage the scheduled maintenance and repairs
Manage the administration duties for accidents that took place
Operate the Trackmatic system and draw reports from the system
Manage Occupational Health and Safety
Manage and control of the Food safety management system
Take charge of the department’s human capital issues engaging with trade union(s), investigations, and hearings and attend CCMA cases
Must be willing to work overtime as and when required
Requirements:
Certificate or Diploma in Logistics/Transport Management
At least 3 years within a Logistics/Transport environment
FMCG Food experience
Computer literacy essential
Experience in people management
