UX/UI Designer (HEC2233)

Purpose.
We are looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our dynamic team. You need to be passionate about all things design related, including service-, customer- and user experience design.

Requirements.
• 3+ years of experience working as a UX/UI Designer.
• If you have a relevant Qualification (Multimedia, UX Design Degree/Diploma, UX/UI design related certification), that’s awesome. If not - we’re all about experience. If you have a great portfolio, your work will speak for itself.
• A portfolio of work done to date (please include link in your application).
• Experience with either corporate or start-up clients.
• Experience working in a mature scrum team.
• Fulltime (08:00 – 17:00) with flexi time.
• Fully remote / work from home – client visits are project dependant.
• Own transport (if applicable).
• Own laptop (bring your own device).

Essential Skills and Knowledge.
Applicants should have the following experience:
• Wireframing.
• User journey mapping (we use Miro).
• Screen Design and Prototyping (we use Adobe XD).
• Workshopping (we use Miro).
• Competitor and Product Research/Analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in presenting concepts and ideas simply.
• User testing.
• Ability to work in a scrum team.
• Ability to also work alone in a team if required.
• A flexible approach as you will be required to work on a diverse range of projects.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• An understanding of HTML5, JavaScript & CSS3 is a plus!

Required Experience.
Applicants should have the following experience:

1. Working flexibly within a Scrum team:
• Working a sprint ahead to prioritise functionality with the product owner and flesh out requirements for the next sprint.
• This involves all avenues of the design process from breaking down user stories, user journey mapping, wireframes/sketching, mock-ups, and prototyping.
• Testing prototypes with real users to ensure the designs fit the bill.
• Working in the current sprint to oversee development tickets and requesting UX/UI changes to refine user journeys as they are being developed.

2. Facilitating Meetings and Workshops with clients and stakeholders
You must have the confidence and experience to lead design workshops remotely and in person. These workshops can include:
• Requirements gathering sessions.
• Prioritisation Sessions.
• Design Sprint workshops (full or in part).
• User Journey mapping.
• User research/interviews.
• Design Reviews with stakeholders.
• User testing.

3. Killer UX Design skills (with a dash of UI!)
• We know UX and UI are not the same thing. However, you need to be competent in both these skills to work well in a team.
• Our projects are fast paced with changing requirements and priorities, and you will need to be able to implement changes to mock-ups/design work on the fly.
