VACANCY: VETERINARY SALES REPRESENTATIVE

REPORTING MANAGER: SALES MANAGER
AREAS COVERED: NORTH WEST & NORTHERN CAPE

JOB OBJECTIVE

To call on assigned customers to promote and sell the company’s products as well as the image, values and goals of the company, to achieve targets / budgets.

TASK DESCRIPTION
• Product knowledge - always keep abreast and maintain product and market knowledge
• Ensuring achievement of daily call targets and rates
• Territory management including implementation of territory business plans
• Customer relationship building and maintenance i.e. accurate customer details
• Achievement of sales targets / budgets
• Timeous submission of all relevant reports and submission of all daily feedback on activities relation to the market to the Line Manager
• Achieve sales by calling on both old and new customers.
• Keep customers satisfied by offering them the service and care that they require.
• Attend and assist with veterinary congresses and workshops.
• Introduce new products, as well as in the market research to determine a need for existing and new products.

EDUCATION AND KEY EXPERIENCE
• A Para-veterinary qualification is essential; preferably a veterinary nurse
• Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license with no endorsements & have own transport
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent negotiator with strong analytical skills, an ability to use own initiative and must be a self-starter
• Minimum of 3years work experience in a veterinary practice required
• Veterinary sales experience would be a definite advantage.
