As One of the TEAM:
The CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE is always front of mind
Your will need to be a TEAM PLAYER, working closely with the Store Managers and their Store teams, as well as the Marketing, Merchandise and Operations TEAMS to achieve and EXCEED objectives
You will be based in SUPPORT OFFICE, but majority of the role will require TRAVEL to stores

Your Strategic FOCUS AREAS:
New Store Design and Launch
Work with store development manager and marketing team to design and oversee the implementation of the visual elements of a new store
Develop and design instore concepts including colour, materials, look, feel etc. based on the detailed brief and design guidelines provided
Work with printers and contractors to bring concept to implementation
Involved in the visual merchandising and marketing launch of the new store
Work with store development team to provide feedback and guidance on store layouts

Visual Merchandising
Responsible for the overall look and feel of the stores based on marketing and merchandising guidelines
Trade visits to all existing stores to identify areas for improvement based on customer experience.
Concept, design and implementation of upgrades to existing stores
Customer experience audit of current stores and feedback to marketing team and operations team for store scorecard
Development of store briefs and manuals
Provide input to the planning department to improve the general ambiance of the store and implement accordingly
Test, implement and report on new elements
Implement, monitor and report on training programs to improve organisational competencies in visual merchandising to continuously drive high standards
Other
Involved in the marketing team when it comes to new campaign concepts
Research design and retail trends, and conduct customer surveys to further understand customer buying behaviour and needs
Monitor current customer profiles and observe customers to influence visual displays and feedback changes or trends in allocated area

We ASK:
Grade 12
Relevant Retail or Business-Related Degree/Diploma (Advantageous)
Interior design or similar design degree (Advantageous)
2-4+ Years Retail Design and Visual Merchandising Experience
Computer drawing and 3D skills
Valid driver’s license and own transport
Availability and ability to travel nationally
Strong design skills and a creative mindset
Ability to work across multiple departments and be involved in concept development, design and implementation
Highly organized with the ability to adapt quickly to change
A good understanding of retail design and trade best practises
