WAN Security Engineer
Our client is looking for a Wan Engineer with solid security experience. Successful incumbent must have very strong knowledge of WAN and Security technologies. The candidate must have skills directly related to design, implementation and management of software defined networking (SDN) solutions
Requirements
• Must have skills directly related to CISCO Firepower, Management centre and Firepower Threat Defence Appliances.

Qualifications & Experience
• Knowledge and experience with Cisco ISR/ASR routers running IWAN/SD-WAN, / firewalls (Cisco and other vendors), Cisco FMC and FTD Appliances (GUI and CLI)
• Configuration and upgrade of FTD
• Skilled in Visio and other network documentation software.
• Cisco Certifications preferred (CCDP, CCNP, CCNP-SEC or CCIE)
• Configuration management of networking devices using automation tools (APIC-EM, DNAC) and API scripting with Python.
• Experience with logical design models (Spanning tree, VRF, VTP, VLANs, physical cabling).
• Working technical knowledge of network control protocols (QOS, PfR, NTP, DHCP), network management protocols (CDP, FTP, TFTP, SNMP) and security protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, TustSec).
• Very strong knowledge of IP communication and routing is required (OSPF, EIGRP and BGP). Experience with inter-company routing is preferred.
• Strong understanding of VPN technologies (IKEv1, IKEv2, IPSec) and WAN transport technologies (DMVPN and MPLS).
• Experience with Cisco Packet-tracer toolset
• Excellent troubleshooting skills (debugs, etc)
• 5+ years’ experience supporting complex Cisco networks

Salary: R95 000 p/m - R105 000 p/m
