Warehouse and Receiving Manager – FMCG
Salary – R15 000.00 Negotiable
Location - Alberton, Johannesburg
AA/EE - Not Applicable Male, age preferably 30 years +

Introduction
A large and reputable FMCG retail group seeks to employ a WAREHOUSE & RECEIVING MANAGER in Alberton, Johannesburg. Responsible for receiving, warehousing and distribution. Direction in overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing and dispatch of a wide variety of products.
Provide support to all levels of management, staff, clients and suppliers to ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly. Ensures compliance with health and safety standards and other regulations. FMCG experience non-negotiable.
Minimum Requirements
• Gr 12 or equivalent NQF
• Minimum of 5 years’ management experience with a leading retailer or retail chain in FMCG
• SAP certification and/or experience a preferred benefit
• Proficient in English, both verbal and written
• Must reside in the Alberton or surrounding area
Experience and Competency
• Multi-temperature distribution environment and managing perishable food inventories
• Understanding of inventory principles
• Ability to perform basic mathematics with strong spatial relations and conceptual capabilities
• Ability to adapt to varied work requirements and be flexible
• Equipment experience including use of forklift and electric pallet jacks/riders required
Core Responsibilities
• Develop and evaluate process flows, create standard operating procedures (SOP's)
• Working in conjunction with other departmental managers to ensure productivity
• Managing the warehouse in compliance with the company policies and procedures
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance timeously
• Optimise space capacity and utilisation, minimize product handling
• Ensure product requirements are met
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Managing housekeeping and ensuring equipment are in good working condition
• Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciliations
• Manage administration
• Monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Providing subordinates with support regarding leadership, problem solving and client complaints
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
