Purpose of Position:
Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Warehouse, Logistics & Regulatory Officer from the pharmaceutical and medical fields. This is a permanent position based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Duties include the responsibility for the day to day activity of running the inventory and warehouse operations ensuring that the inventory system is fully operational. Furthermore, to take responsibility of our regulatory requirements and functions are to Coordinate communication of all customer related issues to Sales Manager to ensure seamless flow of information. Experience in a large, high pressurised environment essential.

KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
The core function and scope of the Warehouse, Logistics & Regulatory Officer is to:
• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service in the inventory team
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and Consumers
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arrange and plan out warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train the inventory team
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
• Comply with laws, regulations and OHS&E requirements
• Continuously look for improvements to operations
• Working proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations
• Accurate record keeping
• Managing Timesheets
• Ensure that our regulatory requirements are met.
• Implement ISO standard

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Matric, Related Tertiary qualification / ISO Accreditation/in house courses in medical field
• Experience in the medical inventory controller / manager in warehousing including ISO etc standard implementations
• Drivers License Own Vehicle
• Hard working, meticulous, keen eye for detail

Responsibilities (Warehouse)
• Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
• Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
• Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
• Prepare annual budget
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
• Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
• Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc)
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

Responsibilities (Regulatory)
Regulatory Affairs Officers act as a link between companies and regulatory authorities, ensuring that products are manufactured and distributed in compliance with appropriate legislation.
Regulatory responsibility will ensure that products and warehouse meet legislative requirements.
Key duties of the job include:

• gathering, evaluating, organising, managing and collating information in a variety of formats
• ensuring compliance with regulations set by the government and suppliers
• maintaining familiarity with company product ranges
• planning, undertaking and overseeing product trials and regulatory inspections

• liaising and negotiating with regulatory authorities
• providing advice about regulations to manufacturers/scientists
• writing comprehensible, user-friendly, clear product information leaflets and labels
• ensuring that quality standards are met and submissions meet strict deadlines
• preparing documentation.
