Warehouse Supervisor – West Rand, JHB

Manufacturing company, looking for a WH Supervisor – with experience in the Manufacturing Industry
• To supervise WH team members, oversee all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes, and maximize warehouse productivity.
• To Functional Support Teams: WH Team, Operations, HR, Quality.

Duties:
1. Supervise approx. 10x WH staff - setting effective objectives and priorities.
2. Ensure accurate booking in/out of all stocks & tools - to ensure physical inventory is accurately reflected.
3. Ensure adherence to all Environmental, H&S regulations.
4. Carry out regular stock checks - using the Physical Inventory process.
5. Good housekeeping & storage of materials – incl. preservation of items with special storage requirements.
6. Manage Daily Improvements - participating in the updating & presentation of the SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) Board.
7. Perform Repairable Stock Reconciliations - ensuring that a broken part is received for every good part issued.
8. Monitoring of transactions & reports, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
9. Assist with the identification & disposal of - surplus and obsolete material.
10. Implement & maintain 5S Standards and Continual Improvement in WH.

Experience & Skills Required:
• Grade 12, with Mathematics
• Relevant qualifications in - Warehouse Management, Logistics, Quality Management
• Min 5 years’ exp - preferably in the appliance or manufacturing industry with small products (Electronics / Electrical or Mechanical Components)
• Good verbal/ written communications skills
• Supervise & training of employees in the warehouse
• Ensure all non-conforming parts are returned to suppliers with the correct documentation.
• Manage and organize stock takes
• KPIs - Customer OTIF / Stock Accuracy / WH Safety Performance / Goods Receiving & Delivery Lead Time
• Operate mobile and lifting equipment, including Fork Lift Trucks – not a must

Salary: R25,000 CTC – highly negotiable with the experience
