To manage and coordinate the activities of the Warehouse to ensure effective and efficient service delivery to its customers and continuous growth of the business

• To optimise the warehouse through the effective utilisation of resources and management of inventory control in order to control risk (e.g. damages and safety) and ensure that the business delivers the right product in the right quantity at the right time in order to always satisfy the customer.
• To take overall responsibility for the Warehouse systems and processes; thereby ensuring overall data integrity and customer satisfaction relating to product and service delivery.
• To oversee all maintenance, repairs and security through the effective management of relevant service providers thereby ensuring overall business functionality on a day-to-day basis to ensure optimal service delivery.
• To manage and lead the warehouse by directing activities, monitoring performance and developing staff to ensure that the objectives of the warehouse are achieved on an ongoing basis.
• To manage the costs of the warehouse, by providing input into the budget and managing expenditure accordingly, on a daily basis.
• To liaise and build effective working relationship with key stakeholders; including suppliers and customers; in order to improve supplier efficiencies and quality as well as ensure overall customer satisfaction.
• To ensure effective communication of relevant information to all stakeholders to support effective decision making for the business.

Qualification(s)

Grade 12
Post matric qualifications in logistic supply chain operations etc, will be an advantage
3 years relevant warehouse or logistics experience
Exposure to IR Related matters
2 years leadership experience
Packing experience
Quality monitoring experience
Inbound – Oputbound transport experience
3 years experience in a warehousing manufacturing environment

Knowledge of Health and Safety in a Warehouse environment
Knowledge of importing and exporting of goods
IR Knowledge
Knowledge of the OHSA
Knowledge of equipment maintenance
Optimising warehouse efficiency
Compiling SLA’s for service providers
