Wood/Timber Finisher required URGENTLY

We’re urgently seeking a wood/timber finisher for our furniture manufacturing factory.

Requirements:

1. PLEASE NOTE: This is an 8 week contract based in Vryheid
2. Must be willing to live and work in Vryheid for the contract period
3. Must be willing to start immediately
4. At least 2–4 years’ experience in spray painting – preferably in the timber field but alternative fields would be considered.
5. Be able to communicate in isiZulu
6. Knowledge of operating hand tools, such as grinders & sanders
7. Knowledge of mixing of paints and finishes
8. Experience in brush and hand rub techniques
9. Be able to work directly under a woman
10. Quality control experience – be able to deliver high quality work in huge volumes and work under pressure and keep to set deadlines
11. Knowledge of sanding and preparing of surfaces fit to apply finishes.
12. Identify problem areas and communicate problems with Factory Supervisor effectively
