Workshop Manager | Sabi Sands Game Reserve | 5 Star Lodge

We are currently looking for a WORKSHOP MANAGER to join this luxury 5 star lodge located on the banks of the Sabi River and providing breath-taking views of the river and wildlife in their natural habitat. The lodge consists of 9 luxurious suites, each located in an utterly private spot overlooking the river.

As ideal candidate you will have:

Tertiary Qualification as Diesel Mechanic
At least 3 years previous experience in similar role/environment
Valid SA driver’s license
Forward planning and implementation of systems
Good time Management and organizational skills
Able to implement and effective preventative maintenance program with emphasis on “Preventing major break downs”
Key Responsibilities

Oversee the Workshop and manage the workshop team
Ensure that a preventative maintenance service schedule is in place to service all vehicles on rotation basis
Carry out test to diagnose the faulty components
Record potential faults that are likely to occur in the future
Repair automotive electrical systems and replace electrical components on vehicles
Report on and justify all expenditure, and source reliable suppliers
Keep a par stock of spares for emergencies and other repairs
Perform regular stock take
Allocate tasks to staff
Interview, recruit and train new staff members
Identify training needs within the maintenance section
Sound safety record (safety in the workshop environment is critical)
Salary package:

Basic salary is negotiable, depending on experience
