Our client, an International Engineering sector who integrates digital solutions, predictive maintenance, 3D metal printing, robotics, and energy optimization into its machines and services has an exciting opportunity for a WORKSHOP MANAGER in their Richards Bay Division.
Reporting to the Operations Director and managing the workshop, comprising of a machine shop, fitting shop and boiler making shop, the Workshop Manager will ensure that the manufacturing and maintenance processes are carried out in line with business and customer requirements.

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Workshop Manager coordinates the production team to successfully deliver products and services of high quality, within specified time frames, safely and to the customer’s satisfaction. The Workshop Manager oversees the workshop and maintenance schedules and organizes human and material resources effectively.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Relevant trade qualification or Management diploma
• Occupational Health and Safety for Managers
• +5 years’ experience in a workshop environment
• + 5 years’ experience on equipment (manufacture & maintenance)
• + 5 years’ experience as manager
• Computer literate
• SAP

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing/production environment
• Lathes and milling machine knowledge
• Knowledge of fine tolerances
• Tools & gauges experience - essential
• Computer literate
• Be able to read and understand working drawings, technical drawings and specifications.
• The ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
