In the Free State Province of South Africa is found a large town called Harrismith. The town is well knowns as a convenient refuelling stop for trucks, vehicles and people. Beyond the highway however, is a town with many elegant late 19th century buildings made of hewn sandstone. For visitors, there are many bed and breakfast places. It also has the best access point to the Northernmost Drakensberg. Harrismith is also home to the largest Truck Shop in the Southern Hemisphere called the Highway Junction.
