Good Day, I, Ashley van den Heever, am a proud graduate of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. I took up as a career as an Electrical Technician after my engineering studies at Mutanda Mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. After National Diploma I’m currently completing my B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Africa. I reside with my family just outside Montagu on a farm. Academically, I am interested in growing my knowledge and learning more about this industry, I’m so passionate about, specifically Control systems, Machinery and Protect systems. I’d like my career to evolve and for me to be able to use my skill set not only to better myself but also allow me to make a difference in my industry and grow to this economy in the engineering sphere. It is my vision for all people to once again appreciate the art of my trade and skill. With the rapid development of technology and engineering, young people are losing this skill.
