Good day, I am confident that my diverse skill set, education, and work experience make me a strong candidate for the position. Growing up in a small mining town, I learned the value of hard work and determination from my parents, who were a radio presenter-TV sports commentator and a psychologist, respectively. These lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and have helped me develop a strong sense of self and confidence. During my education at Hoërskool Linden and AFDA, I acquired numerous skills, such as teamwork, communication, leadership, working under pressure, meeting deadlines, management, and basic business skills such as selling and marketing. These skills have been essential in my career thus far, which has included acting for TV, cinema (local & international), TVC’s (local & international), as well as corporate theatre. At eMedia Sales/Investments, I worked closely with big marketing and creative agencies and their clients to run multimillion Rand campaigns daily, negotiating and ensuring the implementation of broadcast TVC campaigns to achieve marketing and advertising targets. I was part of the 2012 best sales team for one channel in Africa and also won the ETV Mumbai MBA conference with my clients in 2016. I have produced my own TV show called Strange SA, which I researched and presented it aired on ED190 DSTV. In addition, I was a production manager at Urban Brew Studios for Tyres & Braaiers S1&2 on SABC3, where I sourced various forms of content and arranged shoot days, times, flights, transport, and accommodation countrywide. Moreover, I co-founded my own media company, Black Mushroom Media, with my friend Matthew Gardner, which won at the 2019 KykNet Silwerskerm film festival. Whilst working fulltime I produced, directed, and presented two shows in the period planned for one, demonstrating my ability to deliver exceptional results under pressure. Since then, I freelance bonanzafilms.co.za as PM Transport manager was my latest challenge for the Netflix shows; Family Feud SA S02 & Young Famous & African S02. As a BA Film & TV Lecturer at CityVarsity & Boston Media House, I taught subjects such as producing, directing, and Multicam, was involved in designing courses & lesson plans as well as setting and moderating exams. This role enabled me to develop my leadership and communication skills further; To go the extra mile for my students and colleagues in different fields of exposure.
